The gardens have a Code of conduct for dog walkers, which was agreed upon after a restoration project of Chiswick House and Gardens grounds had proposed to restrict dogs access to the grounds in ways that would have negatively affected the dog-walkers community and a lobbying group called CHOW (Chiswick House Organised Walkers) was formed, to try and find a solution which would take into account the interests of dog owners.
